Does the car shutoff once you open the door to get in? The website makes it sound like opening a door with shut the car off.

Special notes about this Remote Start Kit

• No takeover feature is available- all Toyota/Lexus vehicles will shut down if any door, hood or hatch is opened - There is no way to bypass this!

One of the things I don't like about my Revolver X2 installation is that it exposes the body color when the bed rails are lowered. Mine is QS, so I see this QS strip on both sides. Doesn't bother me as much anymore. i also spray painted the drop down brackets black, to make them look a little more factory like. Other than that, I like the functionality and low profile look of the cover.

 

Hitting the rails with paint before install is a good call, I guess the color being exposed is a little off putting, but I think I'd rather see that than have the cover sitting an inch or two above the bed.

 

That last pic had me feeling like I was looking in a Tacoma magazine. Awesome pic man.

 

No drilling. Break free the torx bolts by hand! Using a cordless drill to remove has been known to snap off the heads on the torx screws.
Plenty of videos on YouTube to help with the installation.

It sits back close enough to the receiver where if you hit it. You deserve to hit it

I got the MX4 matte version, it’s a drop bracket, the only holes they put in were two drain holes for the hose. I’ll take a pic here in 5 mins

 

Do they sell em at 100 per pod or does it ship as a set?

These are the drainholes one on each side. I told them not to route it to the wheel well or the bottom of bed cause there’s a lot of mud here and I don’t want it clogging the opening mud gets kicked up




It exits between the bed and the cab. Can’t see it unless you pull the flap back:

 

I agree, the new plates look silly IMO. Glad I snagged up the OG green before they went out

Thanks, I am going to install myself so this is very helpful. It will be my first attempt at one of these but after a bad experience at a vendor I might as well give it a shot, I can't do any worse!
