Yep! When you approach the vehicle with the key and open the door it kills the engine. No way to bypass it unfortunately but I haven’t minded, nice to jump into a warm truck

I bought mine on eBay for quite a bit less.

 

My kit install took 30 minutes. It does shut off engine when you open the door. But the Plug and Play feature of this kit is just as advertised. Works great!

 

OK so it shuts off after you open a door or hood after using the remote start. What about when you run from the push button start. Does that disable the auto start so you then can open doors without it cutting off.

 

Removed the vinyl on the pillars.

 

Got my icon stage 3 installed with trd pro wheels and 285/70r17 BFG’s.

 

If you install the kit, but start using you the push button in the truck, you can open the doors and your engine keeps running.

same with the mx4. i taped it all off and painted it black.

 

Are you running any lift or is that on stock suspension? I am about to do wheels and tires and really debating 265/70/17 or 275/70/17.

 

I painted the brackets before installing. Much easier.

 

I had 265/70/17 street tires on 8" plus 10 offset wheels no lift no rub. Then added 5100's at 0.65 and 265/70/17 ko2 on 7.5" plus 15 offset plenty of clearance.

 

A lot of people seem to go for the MX four over the F1 are you guys finding the F1 too shiny? I like the idea of it being fiberglass F1 as opposed to aluminum and possibly denting

 

I do like the mx4 due to the matte look, but it also due to F1 being a higher priced when an Mx4 is built just fine. I’ve seen one of my buddy stand on his when it was laid out (wouldn’t recommend it) and it didn’t dent. It did bend while he was standing, but when he got off, it was fine. Unless you are dropping brick on it, I don’t see it denting easily. Also when it’s folded, it is safe to stand on it with a max of 400lbs. There’s a video of it somewhere in YouTube.

 

No black/beige for us quicksand owners??
