I was just doing a search on used trucks at my local dealer and I chose the "truck" option, and it listed a 4 Runner as the only choice.

I have a good friend that owns a Honda Pilot and refers to it as "a truck". Says this all the time. "My truck this..." and "My truck that..." Drives me just a little nuts.

The truck of the year award recently went to the Lincoln Navigator...

What is going on? Are SUV's now called trucks? I don't get it. Was wondering if anyone else has been noticing this? Do I need to expand my definition of truck? LOL!

I'm willing to be nice enough to consider anything on a FRAME a truck. A Pilot is NOT a truck IMOP.

A “truck” has a bed on it. People that call their suv a truck are the worst type of people.

I think a Body On Frame SUV can be considered a Truck as many times they would even share the Frame with a Pick Up

IMHO, if it's unibody, it's not a truck.

I found it in the dictionary under “truck”. Synonyms were endowed, impregnate, badassery, and Tacoma.:rofl::rofl:

Truck defined by wiki is a motor vehicle designed to transport cargo. I would put SUV’s in that category—proper SUV’s that are able to handle some weight. I would put unibody trucks like the Ridgeline in that category. It has more payload and towing capacity than some Tacoma configurations. So if it’s not a truck, what’s that make the Taco?

In the end, who cares? As long as it gets the job done for you.
