    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Ive heard this is normal/typical for 1GR's. Search around in the 2nd gen section, IIRC, when these trucks were new, lots of discussion on this.

I knew it happened but i always thought it was a short trip problem. Like engine warmed up enough to cause sweat but not enough to evaporate the sweat. But i feel like its no big deal as long as my rad cap is clean when i check

I't looks like I'll be installing the AEM FIC in the next couple of months but only after I get another car to drive.

I just wonder what I'll have to do next after that. Really I just want to get to a point where I can stop and enjoy the truck running good with good power for a while. I can settle with 10psi running good.

    This.

I'm waiting for a free day to rewire in my FIC, and have time to troubleshoot the injector wire issue I was having. Once I'm in, I'll be very happy to be able to tune closed loop boost- considering I'm making 6psi by 2200ish RPM right now...and I'm not comfortable with it still reading 14.7 AFR.

Ive been at 10psi for a few years. Love it. Haven't had the urge to tune it more aggressive.

I did just tighten the wastegate spring on my car to make it spool up faster. The 3 port boost controller couldn't make the little turbo respond fast enough. Now it's a fricken rocket ship.

I have to say I’m a little bit intimidated by the install of the AEM FIC. I think it will be worth getting a patch extension but I’m still a little confused about the instructions and wether to use the stock o2 sensor (narrow band) which is already tied into the ECU.

You would still need to use the stock sensor and tap that, as you'll be modifying what that sensor is reporting to the stock ECU

Get a patch harness. It's worth it. Makes for easy removal to check as well and you don't damage your OEM harness.

I was looking at patch harnesses and the one from URD is $199 where as the Aem 30-2983 is $144. Is there a big difference between these or is it better to go with the least expensive one ?

Can you find the aem one for sale? I tried several places for my 95 and could not find any in stock. They all listed them on there websites but no one actually had it.

URD told me I need the type D harness. The AEM 30-2983 is $144 almost everywhere I just assumed they were in stock I’ll check again.

Ok I see now the one you would need is the 30-2983c and the one I need is 30-2983. At URD yours (type A) is $139 and the one I need seems to be in stock in some places at $144.

Anyone know what causes a spark plug to look like this?
