    Are you thinking this will be sold as a complete kit? I'm also assuming we'd have to black out the kc version lights ourself?

    I will be offering the raw housing only.(still deciding if I should source & include the hardware/connectors, or just put it as a DIY)
    After that, You would have to purchase the lights directly through @Baja Designs or @Taylor@KC HiLiTES . Hoping they can work out a "bundle price" only for people that purchase this housing.
    And yes, you would have to black out the insides of the Cyclone's yourself.. that's not how they come.

    Thanks

    Looks like a one way trip with the crush nut. How would you test and not be committed? Also curious about the KC version center bolt on the outside lights sharing a hole with the bolt that would be used to mount the whole assembly to the cab. Not bashing. I'm very interested.

    That's actually the reason I originally went down this path for a custom brake light. I was going to design a passthrough hole for my roof wiring. But After a few designs, I wasn't happy because no matter what you could see the wire coming through looking at it from the rear. So I 86'd that idea and just made it a 3rd brake light.[/QUOTE]

    @mesojdm I know you mentioned in the above quote that you 86’d the idea of utilizing the third brake light for wiring pass through, but would it be possible to incorporate an attena mount into the design, similar to the one in the attached photo? Here is the link to the website too: https://www.bulletproofdiesel.com/Third_Brake_Light_Antenna_Mount_for_Raptor_p/90201128_raptor.htm

    I have already put together a package deal for folks wanting the KC version! Basically it'll work like this.... You all will purchase the housing from @mesojdm first. Then you'll come to me with proof of purchase, and I'll give you this collaboration special pricing on 5 Cyclones of your choosing (we do recommend 3 red, and 2 diffuse whites though). Simple as that!

    As of right now.... You'd have to black out the white lights yourself if you desired.

    I installed a crush nut on my truck because I knew I was never going back. As another user suggested, the threaded "c-clip" is a good, non-permanent option. It slips over the sheet metal on the roof and provides a strong thread mount.
    For the outside mounting holes, good question. This is the main reason I requested a tester. I try and design it with all the mounting in mind. I have 2 ideas;
    OPTION 1: using a smaller 1/4-20 screw to drop down in the recessed hole and mount the light(I made the lip inside for this reason- see pic). then with a larger diameter bolt (3/8") would mount through the KC hole and into the plastic to hold the light in
    [IMG]

    Option 2: Would be a 1/4-20 LONG bolt with a washer. This would go through the KC, through the housing, and into the cab. Basically sandwiching the brake housing while mounting the light at the same time.

    Both of those options work. I guess whichever one provides the best weather tight seal would be my first choice. I'm debating in my head if external access is required because it's probably going on once and you have to get behind the head liner the first time anyway so it's not a big deal to keep it. Then again I might need to open it to modify for a passthrough for a HAM antenna. as posted above.
