    I have recently put dakar leaf springs on my truck (about 2 months ago). Out of nowhere they started to squeak and it is getting really annoying. I thought that they added the yellow spacers to help prevent that?? If anyone has a solution for this annoying problem the help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    turn up the stereo......they'll just keep doing it, you can spray them with lube, it'll still happen eventually

    Best thing you can do is hit them with Boeing T9, whenever my start squeaking I douche them with it. Usually lasts several months.

    That stuff work pretty good, but I don't like how it attracts dirt and grit.

    I started using this after it was recommended to me as a good lube for Uniball uppers. It doesn't attract dirt like FF and last quite a bit longer. It's also thinner and less waxy so it gets in der mo deep like.

    It is a waxy lubricant suspended in a very light solvent. It penetrates into fine cracks, then the solvent evaporates leaving the wax. I have used this for over 10 years for all kinds of rust proofing and lubricating.

    Having said that, why would anyone build springs without squeak shims?? Aftermarket springs need them more than OEM because they articulate farther. I'd be pissed too.

    I have the Dakars and no squeaks for almost 50,000 miles. One thing I did is used synthetic grease at all pivot points during installation. I also used a torque wrench to torque at the correct values.

    Well after new bushings, new shackles and sprayed the hell out of the leaf springs I still have the annoying squeak!
