    Most dealers use it almost exclusively I’ve found. They run something that they can use in 90% of vehicles not saying its right but in their eyes as long as the oil meets the requirements for the truck its no big deal. In all taco manuals it says 20 can be run... most quick lube places pull the same shit. Personally I’ve always changed my own so itsnot an issue for me... but id does happen alot just go onto one of the many “which oil is best” and see all the dealer grease monkeys comment how theiryota dealership only caries 5w20 or something

    The interesting thing was up to 07 they recommended premium in the manual for the 4.0. After that they dropped the recommendation, but I don't think anything actually changed.
