Wanted to try out a diesel so my buddy and I tested a 2008 F250 diesel. Quad cab lariet model. Man that thing was sweet. Feel like a semi truck after driving the tacoma around. Suprisingly it was a smooth ride around town than the tacoma was. Not quite as nimble or the turning radius of the tacoma either though. Wish I had the money to have one of both. Priced to sell too. KBB retail was about 37K, they had it for 35K. Offered me 19 for my truck. Payments were too big or I might had considered it ;)

I didnt like that the salesman kept calling the ford a real truck though :(

    thats surprising.

What is predicted reliability? It's a diesel so economy isn't as bad as the gasser. Buying used so depreciation is already done, and the diesel holds value better than the gasser. I thought the ride was awesome, very smooth for a 3/4 ton truck. It's a 7K pound truck, of course it's gonna be hard to avoid accidents ;)

Gonna test out a ram 2500 for giggles next time.

30K on it. Thought it was a "decent" price considering i would be trading it into a ford dealership ;)

Agreed. The F250 is a very solid reliable truck. I had one in a diesel for 6 yrs and it was a beast. Never had a single issue with it. It was just a little much for a daily driver. Plus my wife couldn't drive it due to being short.

RoyB, they will give you more for your 09DC, I just traded my 08 4cyl 4x4 AC and got 19,500 with 36k on it. super clean, not a scratch on it though.
I traded for an 09 6 cylinder 4x4, same color and all. I only paid 22500 for the 08 though.
The 09 only had 1600 miles and more options than my 4 cylinder. I love my taco but if i could afford it I would be driving a 6 speed manual cummins.

YOU WILL BE MISSED Satoshi Grill, FX-R retros, husky liners, bed bolt d-rings, TRD short throw shifter, 2.5 Fox Coil overs, AP UCA's, AP Expo rear leaf with Fox 2.0 shocks, Extended SS brake lines, AP kick-out sliders, 265/75/16 on Konig Countersteers, AllPro Apex front bumper and Zip Ties.
I loved my powerstroke (6.0L) but diesel is more to maintain and driving a lifted crew cab was like driving a bus!

I traded out mine for my taco cuz it was more my size, but I sure do miss that turbo whistle.

The 6.4 Liter is being replaced by the new 6.7 liter Scorpion diesel so they are probably offering the 6.4's at a discount.

Priced to sell is $35K for a $37K sticker price:confused:

I was thinking more along the lines or $25K

So all this can be determined with some sort of test? The only test that matters to me is THE TEST OF TIME.Best selling full size 33 yrs. running has to count for something.

A salesman trying to make you feel insecure in order to make a sale? How unexpected!

If some numbnuts saleman tries that shit on me, I get him and his manager together, explain exactly why I won't be buying from them, and make sure to stop by with my new vehicle after I've bought to say hi to them.

    Idiots annoy me.
