    Does anyone know whether they are running 13WE 199mm or 13WL 231mm with those wheels? I understand they come on Tundras, but will they work with the larger 231mm 13WL caliper?

    @mechanicjon already stated he has them on his truck, which has the TBU.... not sure what other proof you need :)

    231mm is the "braking surface area" not the "size" of the pad or rotor. (Or it's the length of the rotor from end to end?)

    the rotor diameter of the Tacoma is just over 11.5"

    standard Tacoma rotor should be 297mm = 11.69 in., the VSC rotor is 319mm = 12.56 in.

    There is much confusion in this thread. Must be a disturbance in the force.

    13 WE's & 13WL's are both considered TBU calipers, however the larger calipers won't fit many wheelswhich was the reason for my question. The 'proof' I was looking for was in mechanic jons last post, the "Yes I have 13 WL, the bigger calipers with those wheels." Otherwise they could have been the 199 13WE for all I knew. Thanks for the 'proof' mechanic jon.

    Alright, I think I figured it out, not that it matters, but to patch the disturbance in the force.
    231mm = 9.09 inches.
    199mm = 7.83 inches

    Note that they are not mm^2 which would be a measurement of area. They are definitely not rotor diameters, that would be tiny, they are definitely not rotor radii, those would be huge.

    So, from this diagram and associated measurements, I deduce that these are the measurements of the center of the outermost bolt to the center of the outermost bolt for each caliper assembly(measurement "A" in the diagram minus the bolt flange diameter).

    I don't have either one handy to measure, but I'd bet a beer that is what it is.

    /end useless info that my ocd brain couldn't let go.

    Cheers.

    but you also only specifically asked if they fit the 231's and he replied yes so it was an implied answer to your original question :)

    glad it was clarified though, proceed with the fun!
