*THE RTT Owners Thread (With BS)*

This is the only part where they have you unfortunately. Its shitty. A half decent company would have just received it and swapped you out. Would have enhanced their customer service rep and prob promoted additional sales. Fucking sucks chode man

 

Yeah I really didn’t want to accept the 30% off because considering they are selling it 300 cheaper 2 weeks after I bought it, it’s really not that good of a deal. I decided to go through PayPal for the issue because my friends tell me PayPal is really good about making them refund you. I’m giving them a couple of days to respond then I’m going to escalate it to a claim. I did so much research before dropping that amount of money on my first RTT and this is really disappointing. If they give me the 300 price difference along with 30% refund, I will be happier about the situation. Would rather have a new condition tent though.

What really irritates me is the dude delivering it told me I had to sign for it and then to just call if I had any issues. It was my first time ordering something big like this and of course I have to learn a lesson doing it...

 

Damn, let this be a learning lesson for us all. I honestly hope they give you your damn money back.

Devil's Advocate: If you plan on keeping it forever, getting that change back will let you patch it pretty easily(the holes werent as massive as i thought) and you just roll on.

 

BAMF rack received. Paint tomorrow, then finally putting my tent back on. Maybe even a test run tomorrow night. Or just want to open it and let it air out, after its 4 month sleep period

This thing is badass

 

My first Smittybilt arrived damaged, the box was highly "distressed" and the UPS driver noted that. He left before I could open it, but I live on a dead end street, so by the time he came back I had opened the package and discovered the damage. He promptly annotated the damage and Smittybilt emailed me a new shipping invoice before the day was over. I truly lucked out on that one.

Yeah that's awesome that he noted that for you. I originally thought about buying a smittybuilt tent and I'm really starting to regret going with TuffStuff. The guy who delivered my tent worked for Roadrunner and wasn't doing me any favors. He should of noted the damages to the box and I didn't know that was something I needed to specify. They have yet to respond to my PayPal claim. It would be nice for me to be able to tell you guys, they took care of the situation and fixed everything. Would look good on them.

So I have some shit on Craigslist because like everyone else... shit is always in the way! This guy offered to trade some tools for a cool little trailer and im thinking.....

Move my Voodoo Rack and Tent to the trailer and throw the tent on the trailer and turn that into a fridge, kitchen, water & firewood.

Thoughts?

I feel like I need a project.

Do the flat rail sections extend to cover all of the stock short bed cap towards the tailgate? I remember the old BAMF bedrack was kind of short. If they extended it, I may have to take another look at getting one.
