    Howdy,
I have been using CaliRaised LED Lights for a little while now and have been pretty happy. However I am installing a CBI T3 Front bumper think its time to look for new lighting solutions.

    1) Fog Lights: Right now I'm looking for replacement fog lights and have been looking at the squadron sport-r wide cornering lights in amber. How well will these mount on this bumper, do I still need to order the 16+ Tacoma Kit?

Thanks for posting up and your interest in our products.

Regarding the CBI bumper it varies depending on the mounting style. If it accepts the OEM fog lights it will most likely accept our OEM fog kits found here. If it is a universal mount the Squadron-R Series will fit best, they can be found here. I would recommend contacting CBI to confirm the mounting style. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hey Bailey, I was wondering if there was a date at which the improved models were shipped out? I ordered mine on Jan 2 and they were delivered by Jan 12 of this year. Does that fall within the window? Thanks for any help!

A lot of us as far back as Sept/Oct are seeing the updated chips in our lights. I'm sure yours would be the new brighter chip if you just bought them a couple weeks ago(of course that depends on what light you ordered as well, they didnt change the chip in every light model, mainly S8 and Squadron sport). Below is an easy way to check as Bailey posted VVVV :)

My bad, I must’ve skipped right past that post. I ordered the squadron sports so I probably did. Thanks for the help!

Actually, I got the tracking number 4 days After the package was delivered. Not happy with that at the time but no biggie. Got the lights installed and I can turn off the factory headlights and see just fine. These things are bright and really light up the sides of the road on sharp curves on logging roads. Every once in a while after I’ve got used to them, I turn them off. What a dramatic difference with them off. Been thinking about something like these for years. I am a professional procrastinator for sure. I do see a light bar in the near future. Tires are next tho.

I got out of the truck with the headlights on bright and the Squadrons on to see what they looked like to oncoming traffic (the lights are wired separately as I don’t plan on using them in traffic) and could not look at them. They made the factory headlights look very dim and yellow.

These things are tiny as anyone can tell from the following photos.

    Hey @bburv

Similar to what @RelentlessFab stated we started this transition in the middle of 2017 and most lights after July are all the latest and greatest from BD. Check out the photo above if you have any questions about which LED you have

Nice photos! Those Squadron Sports sure pack a punch are a great in the Wide Cornering pattern for poor conditions, near field lighting, and cornering/comfort lighting. Glad you're liking the lights!

The Squadron Sports are probably the closest thing I will get to ditch lights as I don’t want lights mounted to the hood. Maybe some day if I can come up with an alternate location for ditch lights I’ll do it. I’m pleased with my purchase. :)

Here’s a few photos of my 30” S8 after installation. The amber running lights are awesome looking. Used a fuse tap to run them off the washer (ignition dependent 10A) and thanks to @mesojdm for the extended height fuse panel cover. No photo does justice for how well these lights perform. Puts a smile on my face every time.

I'm getting ready to install a CBI T3 front bumper on my Taco and want to install new fog lights at the same time. I think I want the wide cornering Amber lights but I am undecided if I should go with the sport or the Pro model. Would someone like to provide a recommendation, Also let me know if cornering lenses or the amber color are not the right choice. I have read that amber works well for fog/snow and provide additional detail when driving offroad.

Are you planning on using these lights on the street? If so, the only street-friendly setup is the Squadron Sport in Wide Cornering (Amber or White). This will provide at least 2-3x the usable light over OEM while the Pros will exceed 4-5x. We have many customers running these without issues but it's still up to driver discretion when running on the street.

Regarding the pattern, the Amber Wide Cornering will be best for poor conditions and lighting up the near field area. Amber will provide reduced glare in poor conditions which is very beneficial if you encounter dust, fog, snow, rain, etc. That would be our top recommendation for the fog pocket location.

Here are a couple of photos showing the Sport vs Pro:

This is super helpful and I think I will be going with the Wide Cornering Sports. I am still in the market for a 20" light bar to go into the center of the bumper. This light will be only used offroad to help light up the trail. Can you recommend a bar, I am thinking about a combo bar potentially for the spread however I am willing to look at other options, DO you have any photos of the light output for 20" bars; Onx6 and S8?

Unfortunately I don't have night photos of the 20" LED Light Bars. We do have a few great options in our S8 and OnX6 Series! These vary in price and depending on how much light output you're looking for. The Driving/Combo pattern will give you a nice blend of near field, midfield, and distance lighting like the photo HERE.

Installed the @Baja Designs RTL-S on my Front Runner rack as a third brake light/turn signal since my spare is blocking the stock light. Took some quick pictures to share.
