I took a look under my '09 Tacoma, and it definately only has three leaves on the springs. I'd kinda assumed that since this was a TSB for earlier models, that it would be incorporated stock on the new ones; but evidently that's not so.

Does anyone know if there's a new TSB out yet that covers the 2009's? I'd probably like to have this mod done.

I don't think so. It was supposed to be corrected half way through 2008.

The TSB doesn't even cover the '08's

I read somewhere here that there is different letter codes after the leaf spring part number which identify a newer spring. Likie an F or G??? Its somewhere here or maybe the guy/gal who knew it will post or you can do a search this forum try.

the f-coded springs are the "bad" ones and the g springs are the "good" ones. mine have the 3 g springs, but i've already added an AAL

My head's too damn big to fit in there, but all I see is CHI on the top of my springs.

Good idea. I'd rather try that then have my head stuck in my fender behind the tire out in front of my office :D

Ok, confirmed that I have the 'G' springs.
