Hi guys. Just sold my death-trap JK Wrangler last summer and got myself a 2015 Taco TRD dclb school bus and promptly winterized it (f u very much Maine, salty assed roads..). Have been on here snooping for lift kit/wheel/rim combos. I lifted the Jeep and put 32s on no problem but I'm not as savvy with the Tacos as far as fender rubbing and clearances.

I'm vertically challenged (5'3") and don't want to go too crazy, I have bed/roof racks and need to be able to load my 16ft long, 50lb hang glider on top without needing a stepladder to get into the bed. Probably 2.5" Toytec, 275/70-17 BFGs, and TRD rimmies for a little offset. Need to research before I start ordering and ripping things apart, and need visual aids (photos of similarly lifted Tacos).

I'm not compensating for any small *ahem* things, so I don't need to be lifting it 6" and throwing swamper 37s on it.

Welcome to TW! Sounds like you have a pretty solid plan. Wheel specs will play the biggest roll in fitting without any rubbing, I'm not sure the TRD rims will be the best choice for fitment. You should be able to find other 2nd gen guys(i'm 3rd gen so fitment is different) with experience with similar lifts and wheels that can give more info on how well it will all fit. What TRD rims are you thinking about? :worthless:

Was looking at the black or charcoal sema rims. If the offset isnt enough may consider aftermarket.. she needs a little lifting though. Shes just a wee lass 34337063-D58E-4CE5-B2A9-0B2C15B1477C.jpg

Worst mistake of my life, was when I sold my 2000 tacoma to get a Jk. Finally came back to my senses and sold the JK to get another Taco. Welcome to the forum!

Took me months to happen onto my truck. The 2015 TRD dclb configurations are hard to find.

And glad you came back from the dark side with your wrangler. I really did love putting around town in mine but thats about all it was good for.

Clean looking truck! An alternative wheel to the TRD Sema rims that looks almost the same but is wider to accept bigger tires and is also lighter is the FN Fx Pro wheels. They can only be ordered by calling FN as they havent put them onto the website due to demand and selling so fast by referrals. Heres a thread about them: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fn-fx-pro-wheels.408321/ I've been running them for over a year now and am happy with them! Heres a link to a big thread on them over on 4runner.org
