As of now I’m planning on going with Nox Lux overlays for the badges and Amazon or Nox Lux/Tuffskinz for the tailgate inserts. I like the look of the raised letters from Amazon as they seem more OEM but I can’t find them in matte black.

Does anyone have the matte black Nox Lux overlays with satin black inserts from Amazon? Do they match very well?

Opinions on the Nox Lux tailgate inserts? How do they look?

    Any photos are appreciated.

I just got these installed today. Door and tailgate badge covers and letter inserts ordered directly from Nox Lux. The inserts are a shiny and and slightly squishy plastic material. Totally different from the badge covers.

Almost like old school bubble letters? Good to know. I ordered cheapies from eBay or Amazon and they're just square cut ABS. Probably look like shit when they're installed.

I've had my badges plastidipped for over a year. Have not had to retouch any of them, including the toyota badge on the grille. Those overlays are so expensive. You could redip your badges 100 times before you got close to the cost of them.

I have had mine on for over one year in the blazing Phoenix, AZ sun/heat and they still look like new!

And it holds up in the AZ sun just fine? How about car washes? Did you have tailgate inserts to dip also?

My tailgate letters are a thicker, hard plastic. Got them off Ebay. No problems with them either. Both still look like new!

I didn't dip anything. I used nox lux on the badges and a thicker, almost like acrylic letters for the tailgate. Got everything off Ebay.

These don’t pop out, they are more like decals. But I like how they look and from reviews I have searched around, they last quite long (I haven’t done my badges yet since I didn’t have time today)

Yup. My inserts were black matte from the dealer. I don't do auto car washes but the heat has not been a problem

I have the matte black decals from eBay and they look great and I’ve been very happy with them. U can apply them with soapy water which makes getting them perfect very easy.
