I was talking with a TW member who is a LEO a while back. He says those Ford Explorer Interceptors are pieces of junk!

    LOL. Ya, you're right.

She probably just posted the same thing on the Ford Explorer forum

This is a tough one if you plan to use it to haul the kids around...

If it were a DBL cab I'd say for sure don't sell it. You'd be comfortable with the kids in the back for several years.

Access Cab? Not the case, or so I've heard.

I think it really comes down to how often do you think you'll be trucking the kids around?

    Random question...

Do you have a high-powered sound system in your rig?

Exactly. The ultimate question. Maybe 3x a week. We would take the Explorer as a family. The truck would be picking kids up or dropping them off...most likely without the wife/dogs.

Asking a Tacoma forum whether he should sell his Tacoma..... no bias opinions here....

But if you want an opinion, don’t have kids. They are more trouble than they’re worth. Most are punks these days whether parents admit it or not. Welcome to the entitlement period.

I'm 6' 0" I'd say that puts me around average height.

Rear facing in an access cab was actually great I thought. Put the rear facing kid on the passenger side and fold down the front passenger seat. Now rear facing kids is in easy arms reach for those moments when they drop the bottle or if you just want to quietly reach back and ensure they are breathing fine when sleeping.

Why is a diesel needed to haul kids? My mother fit all 4 of us in a 1995 Pontiac grand am 2 door, and we liked it.

Kudos. I dont know how you do it. Ive looked in the back before of my friends AC and didn't seem like that kind of setup was possible.

Oh I forgot to mention one of the things I like about the access cab....is that the kid can't accidentally open the door when you are driving....and if some crazy was trying to get to my kid when sitting still they literally have to come through the front of my cab and me to get to them...

Boss double-DIN touch screen head unit with navigation, and Pioneer component speaker system, plus a backup camera...

    Nothing too fancy!

My biggest complaint about '05-'08 Tacos was that they did not have AUX inputs from the factory. Anything without the JBL system still sucked from '09 until the Entune system came out, but at least '09 and newer had the AUX so you at least had a way f playing your iPod.
