    The only thing i can think of to remove al oxide is sodium hydroxide, however its quite alkaline and will eat your flesh (and bones if left alone) also in the process, it will create hydrogen gas if you are using water... So elbow grease and some polishing compound is most likely your safest best, but all of my stuff was oxidized
