I wont have time to bring the SCT with me. I'll just show up and hangout. I'll do my best to make it next week to. I'm looking at the same rc8be3.1 kit. If I can hold out until bonus time that would be great.

Don't rule out Tekno. Same price, heavier but stronger. Plus the motor won't come lose. John Ash and I all run Tekno trucks.

Started working too late on oiling up the bearings so i didnt finish last night.

But i did get the new Flysky GT3C transmitter & waterproof receiver installed and bound (also double wrapped the receiver with latex finger tips, zip tied on the end and added some silicone adhesive in the end for extra waterproofing), installed the new aluminum C hubs, oiled all bearing in the entire front and rear axles. Still need to reinstall the front axle, and take apart the trans to inspect and oil.

I need to get some axle bearings, the ones i have are rusted a bit already and a couple were not moving till i added some oil and worked with it a bit.

Also noticed that if i tightened my axle screws too tight then i would start to have a good bit of resistance in certain spots when spinning the drive shaft. After backing out the screws the resistance didnt go away but it is way less resistance.

Went to fix my crawler and noticed a bushing that fell out of the plastic knuckle. HT Lewisville didnt have alum c hubs and knuckles, so bought the bushing and will stick with plastic for now. I did pick up gears for the rear though. Hoping it will help my turning radius.

Im not sure that rear gears will help with turning radius... unless those are slower gears than the front, then i may work as a cheap "dig"

Yep, going to underdrive the rear. From what I've read, it's better than overdriving the front. With the front wheels spinning faster, it should turn better and climb better. However, driving in a straight line on the trail, the rear tires may drag a bit since theyre moving slower. I guess we'll see how i fair on the next run. Also made some recovery straps for the "No Hand of God" day at White Settlement in Feb.

You can sell anything on the FB groups. I sold two high center slash chassis and my old traxxas rx/tx for like $30

On another note, this a taco grill?

I got the gears installed in the rear. Pretty easy install and it reduced my turning radius by about a foot. Will still have to see if it makes a difference in the crawling ability.

Yes the 1st gen Tacoma's use that style grill on the 01-04, I believe.
