If you’re just doing it to get through inspection just reset your battery the day before woth a full tank of gas and drive around for 50 miles keeping the tank full. That code wont go off if your tank is full...

Another one. I'm curious now as to what actually 'fails' with these things... They look to just be a bowl of charcoal. Also at a loss as to why they would be anywhere near $700.

Not exactly sure what "fails" but i know a common cause is over filling the gas tank

Which would make sense that it's just some stupid little check valve that's clogging up. I bet they can be 'reworked' with either compressed air or WD40. I have a hard time believe there's anything that actually 'fails' or needs to be replaced. Probably just ridiculously marked up because it's emissions crap and people are generally scared to mess with it.

Sounds about right, or the sensor itself that actually throws the code craps out which could be part of the molded unit. In that case the sensor would be the expensive part, because charcoal for fish tank filters isnt too pricey

Recently, one of my cylinders seems to be ticking louder than before under acceleration. Seems to be normal for these engines :notsure:

I really like the pizza at Home Plate. A good friend lives not too far from there actually.

I don't understand why 5w-20 has even come into the equation. It's not what Toyota quotes for any of their cars these days, it's all Toyota branded 0w-20 synthetic. Maybe the older ones run a 5w-20 but the new ones all run a 0w-20. 0w-20 guarantees you get synthetic as well.

As far as 0 vs 5, I'd want the 0 in cold weather. It will flow better and lubricate better at cold temperatures than a 5 would.

I'd run a 0w-20 over a 5w-20 any day of the week. I ran 0w-30 in the STi with perfect Blackstone UOAs.

    Happy birthday @BostonBilly

I found a place in goffstown that is ok. But there is a pretty good spot I found scouting trails out in Chester. Coincidentally my friend who has a membership to Chester Rod and Gun Club will take me with him sometimes. They have an indoor pistol range which is cool.

They have too have the v8 as an option in the f150 or it just won't sell with out it. They're not ghoing to invest money into the 6.2 for the work trucks no one will complain about fuel mileage in fleet trim work trucks.
