LEGO overlooked two small details with this set, at least in my opinion.

For starters, it seems odd that an American-market semi would have a European plate (though I do understand a few Peterbilt 379s and other distinctly American rigs were exported to Germany (and Germany is LHD), so I will give them a pass. However, the Mini Cooper comes with four sets of license plate stickers (a Connecticut plate and three Euro plates). LEGO, I think you upgrade this set to include license plate stickers from at least one (preferably two) US states. Nebraska (home of Werner Enterprises HQ) and Indiana (home to so many trucking companies that many truck companies get special Indiana plates with their company name and logo for their whole fleet) would be great places to start!

    image.jpg

And then, a vehicle and a trailer are NEVER going to have the same plates, even if they are registered in the same state of province (this is true for passenger vehicles towing boats, cargo trailers, and campers, all the way up to real-life versions of my Mack here...

In fact, from what I've seen on our nation's highways, very few tractors and their accompanying trailers are registered in the same state. Werner, for example, despite being a nationwide company, registers all of its rigs in Nebraska. Makes sense, since that's where Werner is headquartered. Also, Nebraska is subject to federal DOT regulations, but has no emissions testing or safety inspections!

As for huge big rig trailers, those used for interstate hauling seem to be registered almost exclusively in Maine or Oklahoma (at least the ones I've seen), even if the actual truck is owned by a company headquartered nowhere near any of those two states!

The verdict here is that LEGO unrealistically gave both the truck and trailer the same license plate number!

The one in Horsham, Pennsylvania is closing, but the one I've gotten a few LEGO sets at (Montgomeryville) is not...

Does this mean that Toys "R" Us is actually going under?!?!

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Not yet. Maybe this weekend.
    I'm not picky.

I'm not sure if our Toy's R Us is closing or not. It's not on the list but the local news has it closing on their broadcast.

I didn't think bankruptcy necessarily meant going under.

need to learn more about this stuff
closing 1/5th of your stores isn't going under. its restructuring to become profitable again.

All brick and mortar are going to be cutting back. Amazon is killing them. they need to "go lean" and figure ways to compete better.

It doesn’t. Chapter 11 allows time to reorganize while not making payments to creditors. Also allows to restructure debt.

    My latest additions.

Here are pictures of Series 18 CMF. I think they all look pretty cool. I expect them to be very popular.
