No, that’s not gonna be up to the task. And you need a tube bender, not a pipe bender.

One of these fellas. That is, if you want bends.

So I had a dilemma. I wanted to put racks on my bed when I need to haul my 14' paddleboard but when I'm not I want to have the factory bed cover on. The problem with this is that the clamps that hold the brackets to the bed cannot slide into position because the pins from the bedcover get in the way. My solution? I cut the bottom of the bed rails wide enough so that I could pop the clamp in and slide into position (two cuts per rail). By cutting only the bottom of the rail I maintain a lot of the structural integrity of the rail.

I have very little skill and even less creativity but heres my one self done mod. A very custom(and not original, I copied another members setup) dog lead for the back seat! I did all the sewing myself, by hand, so it doesnt come loose. My Grandma would be so proud I still remember some of what she taught me all those years ago.
    20180124_200527[1].jpg
I just did this setup today to replace the one I was using and didnt completely like. Still have a few things to do to finish it once I know it all works how I want.

Pinterest. It’s an old Toyota lapel pin, took some looking to find. Also might be some floating around on eBay.
