Nope, wasn't me, I've got one of them bicentennial tags, the giveaway on my rig is the "Slave to the Traffic Light" license plate frame and the Auburn, Virginia Tech, and Clemson stickers on the backside.

Thought might be you. First pro I saw in town except for this week when I saw a white one in Opelika.

 

I have seen three Cements here in Montgomery other than mine. One had lifted theirs, put on some nice off-road tires, and thrown on a matching cement camper; the other one had modded the grill and installed some LED lights behind it, and the other one was just plain stock (like mine). I've added a photo of the two rigs, I have. The only thing that would make me get rid of both of them is to slide on over into an HDJ81 or a 70 Series Troopy.

Haha! It wasn't as bad as you'd think, sure you got some of that , but the beer and food, the outdoors, and being able to be in them mountains, the coast, and the high desert in just a little under a day was awesome, plus there are a lot of Cruiserheads and Tacoma folks over there. I will say, the contrast b/w the coast and eastern OR (or for that matter WA or CA) is totally different in terms of vibe, attitude, and straight up politics. The bonus was getting to stare down Mount Saint Helens, Mount Hood, Mount Adams and sometimes Mount Rainier on a sunny day. It was fun to watch the Oregonians bitch and complain about the summers when the temps got to be in the 90s to 100s with hardly no humidity compared to the way it is down here in the summer, haha. And the rain, it was meh, but the lack of sunshine in the winter time SUCKED!

 

I know, I grew up there.

 

I watched Mt. St. Helens blowup live, back in 1980 and spent my childhood skiing on Hood.

 

Haha, nice! I miss it sometimes and then when I was out there I missed it here. I think besides the SE, the PNW is the only other region of the US I could consider living in. Shoot, I do miss the no sales tax and wished I had lived in Washington State so I wouldn't have had to deal with state income tax!

 

If I ever moved back, I'd end up killing someone.

With that said, we're going to Sunriver in July.

 

That and Bend are both awesome, I'm hoping one day to get an overlanding trip out there and over in the John Day/Painted Hills area too! I will say, both I and a buddy of mine (who graduated from UVA and was at Clemson with me in Forestry, he moved out to Corvallis while I was out in Portland) couldn't stand the drivers there, it was like a race to see who would finish last and it would send me into fits of madness and road rage and they were so courteous too. When I moved back to Alabama, I was in culture shock with driving for a bit and I've always been used to driving fast like in Atlanta !
