4runner may be lighter :notsure:. I dont think its bad and didnt do shit to my 886 coils even after adding steel skids. :rofl:Been thinking of switching over to 887 or 888's to soften the ride a bit more but I dont mind it being a little stiff. I dont like bouncing around.

If you expect to bash your front bumper on rocks, trees and such steel is the way to go for sure. All I really want/need is something to hold my winch, provide good recovery points, look cool and in hind site provide better approach angles. The slimline doesnt help and with approach angles but I do still really like it. I dont want or expect to be bashing my truck against things that hard so Aluminum should hold up fine.

    I think...

I feel like my 887s are too soft for all the weight I have up front. That's why a suspension overhaul is happening in the next month or so with some 700lb coiled 2.5 ext. travel kings

Sure, if you like them I'll trade my 887s for your 886s... I need to have a spare set of coils for future rebuilds on the kings

I'm down for that! Once you get your kings we can figure it all out. I plan on doing the same with my OME setup one day...

10-4. I'll probably order them within the next few weeks and have a shakedown run at Barnwell. I'll let you know when I make the trip up I'll bring the springs. Would you want the full coilover setup (about 45K miles on them) or just swap springs?

I'd probably keep my shocks, I'm just under 20k. What shocks are the sports? Soft(90021) or firm(90000) ride?

I think the sports are the firm ride, that's what I have I think.

I'll probably just swap the coils. If they end up being the same shock I might trade full struts but I'm still under 20k on mine so I'll probably keep them.

It seriously does!! It can be annoying - but at the same time, every time I see it, I think of the good times I've had wheeling there!
