When are skids coming?

 

I'm not sure haha I was playing with the idea of doing something like a tummy tuck for added ground clearance before I order skids.

 

What do you mean by that?

 

Taking everything underneath the truck and moving it up so it sits almost flush with the frame without lifting the body from the frame. They have kits for jeeps but I haven't seen anything for tacomas.

 

But it probably wouldn't be worth all that effort for an extra inch or so.

 

Ah I gotcha. I really don't think anything hangs below the frame except the exhaust that runs under the transfer case. If you do that before getting skids, you'll have a pretty flat belly. It's not expensive either.

 

Yeah, I'm definitely going to do an exhaust reroute.

 

Find a paintless dent removal person near you and have them look at it. You would be surprised what they can do,usually very reasonable.

 

Don’t worry I spent 3 hours on the truck Sunday morning and drove it to work Monday and BOOM, RUINED!!! I was cussing Mother Nature

On another note, @loosnut , I have not forgot about you in regard to all that Harley swag and parts. Just so busy lately can't get my shit together long enough to organize it.

As a matter of fact, I want to get rid of an old wood burning stove, and this is crazy, I found the Sport mirrors I took off my Tundra when I swapped them for the towing versions. I thought I let them go with the truck when I traded it for the 4R. I'm so disorganized.......

 

I know right! I was gonna do the wash on the way to work today but was running late as usual. And it's supposed to rain again this Sunday so washing this Saturday is out. I'm almost ready for my 10k service and since I spent so much time last weekend washing I definitely want to get out there this Saturday and rotate my tires.

Yea, i gotta get this garage cleaned out to make room for the Tacoma once and for all.

I also want to get hot on selling off as much stuff as possible to put it towards a new suspension lift.

 

Yep. It is always ready to go. Although sometimes hard to start because of ethanol. I treat my fuel with Stabil but the Ethanol is still a PIA.

 

What sta bil do you use? Marine formula?

 

I've been using Magic Tunnel Car Wash for a couple of months now. It does a pretty good job, is cheap, and they don't scream at me when I come in dirty after wheelin.

 

I used both automotive and marine. My motor is still the original 1995 2-stroke motor, although I have rebuilt the carbs and replaced some fuel lines, so it is just hard to start because it is getting old.
