Couldn't you put an angled piece (frame) on both corners of the bumper, and then use the same mounting as you do on the other bumper you offer that has BSM support?

Hmm, bummer! I assume the BSM can be disabled after installing the HC? I haven't looked into it, to be honest. I'm pretty sure the dealer will be worthless on this subject. Do you know if it's possible to disable the BSM? It seems most people who use the HC bumpers didn't opt for the package that had it to begin with.

Thank you pointing me to the thread. You guys make an excellent HC bumper. I love the look of it.

There really is no way to disable it, but i do believe there is a button right in the dash that actually turns the BSM option on or off.

I’m excited to get my C4 HC bumper, but man I’m nervous about chopping off body parts.

I had to swallow my stomach bile looking at that rear quarter panel lying on the floor.

But it does look good installed.

What did you do to prevent rust, where it’s cut?

Used color matched automotive paint and the trim edging noted in the instructions; both from Advanced Auto Parts

LOL! Yea, those are the stock set up. They’re coming off. It was for testing purposes. Planning on 315/70/17’s with Icon wheels.

thats gonna be beefy!! Its funny how when the spare is under the bed, i couldnt care less about it. The minute it was mounted onto the rear wheel mount, i knew it was only a matter of time. My spare was all nasty and gunked up from wheeling too LOL

Yea, I’m not sure if I’m going to like it mounted to the bumper. I think it attracts more attention that way. To thieves that is. Like you said, you don’t think about it when it’s underneath the truck.

I used a cable lock to keep it attached to my truck a little bit longer :)

Just got my bumper and it’s the newer style. Any significant differences I should out for in the install?
