I’ve been trying to unlock my truck with the keyfob and it unlocks the passenger door but not my door. Then I lock it and unlock all doors and it works the second time around. Any suggestions?

It sounds like a warranty problem. If you want to check the settings out, the Carista app let's you customize the unlock sequence. Possibly, toggling that setting on and off could fix the problem?

Another easy at-home fix for control-type problems is to disconnect both battery terminals and touch them together for 10sec. This has fixed a few issues on past cars.

My Gf's father bought me a OBD2 Dongle and I wanted to know if there was a free app or program to use it with. The ones on the app store don't really connect to it and the one that it suggests costs 20 bucks.

I have an ELM 327 BT adapter that I bought several years ago for about $14 on newegg.com. It was advertised that it worked with the Torque app. I have never updated the firmware on it, and it has worked on our 2001 saab, 2001 volvo, 2014 subaru, and the Taco. It also works great with the Carista app.

There is a warning in the Torque app that some inexpensive adapters might not work.

It might be worth googling yours to see what comes up about it? You might need to find out where it was purchased?

    Hey, Folks.

I'm just sitting here watching the latest The Grand Tour episode. Jeremy and Richard are driving old MT beauties. I'm laughing and thinking about this thread.

I'd give both nuts to take a long drive in either the XKSS or DB4GT. Watch and enjoy!

Hey guys, anyone had a problem with a slight whistle when engaging/ disengaging the clutch at very slow speeds? Possible through out bearing defect? I am getting close to 20000 on the 2017 dcsb. Thanks

    I had
I had a slight whistle at 600 miles, possible bearing noise when pressing the clutch pedal and in gear. When in neutral the noise stopped. Had it checked out and was told that my clutch pressure plate was overtorqued (stripped bolt heads) and my flywheel had developed hot spots. Had my tranny dropped and clutch assembly replaced. Noise disappeared and my shifts became much smoother and less notchy.

thanks for the reply. Sounds exactly what mine has been doing for the last 10000 miles. I was hoping it would go away with no luck. Did the dealer honor this issue free of charge under warranty?

Probably 6 month ago, we were discussing how hard it was to heel toe in a 3rd gen, with the ridiculously short gas pedal. Some stated that they did a reverse heel toe, ie: heel on brake, toe on gas. I've been working on this method (ala Ricky Rudd) over time and can now say that 95% of the time I can pull it off. Other times I completely miss the gas pedal or stab the brake too hard.
Maybe proves that an old dog can learn new tricks. 2 things annoy me though. I slip more on the brake pedal when it's wet & I really gotta think about it when I do it. It's not a subconscious thing like the classic way I've done for years.
Anyway, there's hope for the seasoned citizens among us to learn something new.
Whew! That was long!! I gotta lie down now and take a nap!!!
