I need a hood painted. Anyone have someone they can recommend? I'm in N. Ral if that matters.

 

All time 4wd, there' a mod you can do that's expensive to get them part time for fuel economy but not worth imo

 

Anytime during the day. I'm hoping to be done by 5:00.

Are you just swapping the F, adding any lift to the rear what's your plan? Do you have springs for the fronts or staying with the stockers? Do you have a spring compressor if you need one?

 

rear i already swapped the shocks the other night. Front im planning to just change out the shock and reuse the stock spring. No compressor so i am planning on taking out the whole assembly and taking it to a shop down the street to have them disassemble and reassemble it. i may just think this will be harder than it is...lol

 

Oh well what are you scared of then that's just as easy as swapping the rear shocks minus the taking it to another shop for set up. I can help if you really want/need it but that is a pretty straight forward job.

Just a few tips loosen the bolts for the LCA arms that way they can articulate easily and get out of your way easier. Be sure to scribe/mark the position of those camber adjusters before you break them free so when you go to tighten them back up you can line them back up. This will get you close on your alignment so you can drive it. Also go and get some PB blaster and spray the crap out of the LCA adjusters/bolts do this tinight, then spray some more on tomorrow when you get started.

I am more than willing to come help and if you want to save some shop $$$ you can go rent a spring compressor and I'll show ya how to use it and we could do the whole job rather easily.

Amazon doesn't even care any one, huge box that had my stuff in it that needed a bit only 1/8th the size

 

But they had to have one big enough for that caught air protection

It isn't for the light at heart that's for sure it can be tricky.

 

They did the same thing for the travel DVD player I got for the kiddo but with no packing protection so it was just banging around in there luckily it wasn't broken.

The only thing I'd say you have to have for this method is a good jack. A sketchy jack will work but it'll make the process sketchy.
