Yea I just dont see how I would pay $3000 more for a truck that doesnt have 4x4 and an inferior transmission. B-but it has a nicer sound system and back up sensors..?

Picked up my new 2017 SR5 AC V6, 4x4 with Tow Package, Alloy Wheels and Mud Flaps for $30,900. MSRP was $34,467 which works out to 10% off.

A year ago I bought my 2017 DCSB Off-road (crawl control, navigation, wireless charger, push button, smart key and pure bad assery) for $33k OTD. I got a steal because I am “technically” the second owner. Guy bought it and traded it in because he really wanted a TRD PRO!

MSRP does not include dealer add-one. Distributor SRP is the one that includes it.

The problem with him is he did not do his homework. He had told me he had purchased a Sport 4x4. When I came over to see it was a SR5. I specially told him to research pricing on the internet for our area . He is so delighted I did not want to bust his bubble. For the money he paid he could have got a Sport with PT and 4x4 for that price. It is a nice truck but so plain Jane no options

Hi, new member here. I am looking at these two for my first Tacoma and wanted advice on what I should be trying to get out the door paying.

Also, should I buy accessories from the dealership or get them after market?

    Thanks

That's too bad. But in the long term scheme of things, $3k he could've saved...doesn't really matter a lot, if he ends up keeping it for a long time.

I recently got a 2017 TRD Sport 4x2 and was able to get over $4k off sticker, compared to the 2018's they were only willing to budge around $1k give or take a little depending on the model. I'm in Southern California where the dealers are pretty tough on negotiating on the Tacoma's, most aren't budging much from sticker, if your market is softer you might be able to get even more off on a 2017.

There is a list of invoice prices here.

I recommend getting any accessories post purchase. There are lots of after market options, and the Toyota OEM accessories can also be purchased online at discounted prices.

I am looking at a 2017 DCSB OR 4x4 in quicksand, no tech package or anything. MSRP is 37,1xx and they are offering it to me for 34,046+TTL. I am trying to get some more off but not they are pushing me to come in for a test drive and we can talk more about price when your here. I would guess that means we want you to smell the new car smell and buy it. Whats everyone think of that price? Good or just a meh deal?
