Be careful with engine modifications like this. The added power and stress from from a cap like that can cause the next weakest link in the drive train to fail. You may want to upgrade your driveshaft at a minimum and consider a stronger rear axle in the long term. If you take it easy on the throttle when starting you should be good for now but be careful. Oh, and definitely need a brake caliper upgrade. Lots of guys put all their money into going fast when they forget the second part of the equation is stopping!

Added a Sy-klone precleaner to the snorkel.

I wasn't expecting it to look awesome but Im pleasantly surprised it doesn't look as terrible as I though it would.

I also swapped out the rear facing flood light for a 50w spot. The flood was a nice camp light but useless for night wheeling.

I know thinking hard about those!! Your truck looks so much bigger than mine with basically the same lift height. My lady's grown too accustomed to that camper so thinking of ordering 255 85r16 km2 since they're 33.2"s and 55lbs. Any word or that super charger? lol

Nada. I know they grenaded a few of their test engines, or so I've heard. Soooo there's that. Evidently it's proven more than difficult to force feed these atkinson engines. I test drove a supercharged trd pro 4runner I was looking to buy as a grocery getter and I honestly wasn't super impressed. Perhaps my expectations were a bit too high? But having driven a ton of boosted vehicles, it just lacked that umph.. made a bunch of blower noises tho, so I think that at least gives you some "cool" points.

Yeah I've never driven a TRD boosted 4.0 but the price tag to horsepower ratio wasn't very appealing to me. Was honestly hoping for bigger gains from a non Toyota engineered system. Maybe somebody will figure out a roots supercharger and we can make some real noise!:p

Interesting I haven’t noticed yet. Yeah winter fuel sucks I plan to up the octane to mid grade once I get past this first tank of fuel.

The only thing that was off in my 2018 was the passenger side locking mechanismE0C70880-0AEF-43F9-9F3B-0CA642221518.jpg
If you compare it to the driver side, the lock in the driver side fits perfectly and locks. The passenger side just has a hole and I just pushed the knob thru. It doesn’t lock though, but i tried movIng it and kicking at it; doesn’t budge.

I know, but the new ones will have the passenger side placement locks. Might as well hold out a couple of weeks.

I don’t know if my last post went thru (on the phone and it’s acting up)
    Here’s the passenger side:
    2DB819C6-5944-4E61-8C77-27BEC780BE90.jpg

I just pushed the knob into the holes, it doesn’t lock, but I’ve kicked at it and tried to move it around and it’s not moving.
