Bed extender question..

my truck came with it from the factory.. just wondering- the little slots that the extended slides into that are mounted in your bed- do they come on every truck, or do they come with the extended when you purchase that

 

They don't come with the truck. Those mounts are installed if only if you got the bed extender accessory.

 

Ok so if I sell the bed extender I’ll need to include those to the buyer ? Pretty sure if I remember correctly on one of my old Tacoma’s those brackets were impossible to take off or something... maybe just a pain I forget

 

You can remove them by taking off your tail lights, also if you do take them off it’ll leave you with 3 small holes on each side. The kit can be purchased for less than $20

You can always take them off and purchase similar bolts and install them after you remove the hardware, that way you have three bolts instead of three holes

 

Ok so I’d rather leave them on mine and just tell the buyer to purchase a set, thanks !

So I bought a bed extender off of fb and I don’t think it is for a Tacoma because it is too wide. It fits but barely, so I just made some “brackets”.
