My plan is to order trail gear sliders and buy a enough metal to make a skid for just the front.

I’ll eventaully go back and make the trans skid later. How much 3/16 sheet metal do you need?

Anybody know of a good powder coating place? Preferably in south Atlanta area, but really anywhere around ATL.

Looking to possibly get some wheels done, so it’d need to be durable.

 

GPC in Gainesville did my Pelfreybilt bumper a couple years back - Good selection of colors, good price, and bumper has held up really well... I’ve been happy with them!

Probably 45 min north of Atl though...

 

Yea I’m familiar with gville. Born and raised in Clayton. Lived in oakwood for a few years while working in Lula.

I’ll keep them in mind and probably call for a quote. What kind of price range was your bumper?

Gonna call a couple of other places in the metro area tomorrow, just threw it out there in case anyone here had some insider knowledge.

Nice! My bumper (plus light bar cover & frame supports) was around $180, with a 24 hr turnaround time. I think the guy who did the powder coating, drove a Tacoma as well, and ended up sand blasting my bumper for free.

 

Thanks! Sounds like a pretty reasonable price for a big item.

I haven’t fully decided if I’m going this route yet. Still going back and forth between two wheel options.

I’ll def keep these guys in mind for this or future powder coating projects.
