So new rust free Tacoma frames are slightly different than before.....

 

What, no factory installed rust?

 

That was an epic tale to be told for an eternity around the camp fire with good beer and whiskey.

 

But the pumas could not keep the truck running.

 

All you need is some safety sandals and a chainsaw and you too can have a custom battery hold down!

 

Actually I did clean off some rust from the new frame, and undercoates it......

 

No longer jealous of your chainsaw ( and safety sandals ) I picked up a used Rancher 455 saw. Gonna get it cleaned up and tuned for this coming season. Still need to figure out a good mounting solution in the bed.

 

Have you been studying the fine art of chainsaw bench making?

 

Oh hell no. Just gonna gonna go on a trip, set up camp, and send it.

 

Admittedly I'm a little lost as I don't post/read much.

Did you end up doing the swap with the DC body?

 

Plastic pieces? Honestly the vinyl dye has held up incredibly well in my interior. Far better than the plastic specific spray paint.

 

Ooooh fancy pants over here.

I'd vinyl wrap those pieces. It'd be easy and look great.

Yeah I definitely think that'll be the way I'll go.

 

It's mostly done, just getting the wiring kinks sorted out. Then bumpers sliders and skids.

Not sure you’re suppose to sleep with chain saws but don’t mount it for sure unless you wish to take over Brandon’s top spot of being made fun of.

 

And I assume by "skids" you mean the beefy transfer case skid I donated

Can't wait to see the finished project. A supercharged V6 DC with a 6' bed and 5-speed manual transmission? My nipples can cut glass right now.
