Freshly rebuilt Camero 3.4 V6, Buick Eaton M90 supercharger, fed by a Holley 650CFM carb with a T25 turbo feeding the supercharger. Haha its a beautiful mess of carbureted twin charged nonsense.

Same Blazer, same town (Doylestown, PA), different dates and locations! The 4.3L emblem identifies this Blazer as at least a 1988 model. The front fascia means it is no newer than 1990...

GM actually builds a 3.4L long block as a direct drop-in replacement for 2.8L S-series trucks!

What year was on the title of your Franken-truck?

I had one awful '82 S-10 pickup. Worst buy I ever made. It was nice-looking..Chevy Orange over white twotone, poverty caps with rings but that's where the good stopped. Under that hood was an absolute anemic 1.9L Isuzu 4 behind a 4-speed manual. Barely 80hp. Blew 3 head gaskets in the 3 years I owned it and that check engine light popped on/off every day till I punched the dash and it would go out and be fine for the whole drive.
But my Mom bought a new S-10 Blazer in '86 and that thing was I think fleet stock for like the forest service because I never saw one like this one in this configuration. It was a dog too but at least it had the 2.8v6-albeit a paultry 125hp. Anyway, everybody else had the twotone paint and those Blazer-famous wheels, but Mom's was like something the utility company would have for its linemen to go up the dirt path in. The interior was as plain, replete with tan vinyl everything including the floor! Here's a pic of a Kodak moment with me at 25.

It's titled as an 84 if I remember correctly. The 2.8 was so toasted when he got it we organized the swap almost immediately. It was a 5 speed truck so it was cake to swap everything, the A/C even still worked.

So the A/C was even still working after the swap?!?! That's awesome!

Yup, it was a dealer installed Harrison A/C unit and functioned perfectly. Even the vacuum solenoid for the idle up still works.

This is the oldest "bone stock" S-10 I've ever photographed! It is a one-owner 1982 base model, no-frills Chevy S-10...

1.9L Isuzu 4-banger, 4-speed stick, manual steering, manual brakes, no A/C, and AM radio. The elderly owner told me he bought it brand new for approximately $5,600 back in '82!

170K miles on the odometer, but the truck was on it's second engine at the time the photos were taken...

Yeah I recall it did. And a stereo but that was it. It was a no-frills all-business hoppy little 4x4. I liked it!

Delphi-Harrison was factory A/C in those trucks. How do you know it was dealer-installed? My dad's '93 S-10 Blazer, and just about every GM product made from 1981 to 1998, had the Delphi-Harrison rotary compressor...

FUN FACT: My 2010 Tacoma has a Delphi-Harrison A/C system!

I'll bet it had one thing in common with base model Tacos, too...

Intermittent wipers were an extra-cost option on most GM products in the 1980s. By 1990, I believe they were standard across the board on all full-size trucks and SUVs, as well as Astro/Safari and G-series vans. However, all the way through 1993, intermittent wipers were an extra-cost option on all S-10 and Sonoma pickups, as well as the S-Blazer and Jimmy SUVs...

Intermittent wipers were available as a standalone option on S-10 pickups until 1990 or 1991, but by 1993 you had to order a tilt wheel to get the intermittent wipers...

You know it might have been factory, just looked like the evaporator core was sloppily installed. But yeah those harrison units are popular. Are you sure yours in Harrison though, those units are pretty old and inefficient now, most things use Sanden rotary multi piston compressors now.

It says Delphi-Harrison on the little sticker under the hood, but it is a Sanden-style compressor...

It had AM/FM but only two front speakers and I cannot recall if it had a deck. But I do remember it had NO sound to it at all-kind of boxy audio.

My dad bought the truck new in September 2009 with 20 miles on it.

He signed the title over to me in December 2016 with about 68K on the clock.

In June 2017, without 75K on the clock, I happened to reach over and notice that the far right vent was blowing warm, humid outside air. At the same time, the far left vent was ICE COLD. The center left vent was cool to cold and the center right vent was luke cool at best...

After almost 8 years and roughly 75K miles of trouble-free service, my A/C ended up needing a charge...

Here is the label under the hood of my truck...
