Just a teaser of the long bed tray getting ready for production soon, this setup is going to be killer

    I WANT!!!

I might be in the minority, but for me personally, the only thing I would want to change would be to keep it super low, like roof height, or max, top of a prinsu. I catch on so many branches with my setup as it is, which is why I'm going to ditch the cap and make a bed rack this season. I know that's not the Aussie way, but here in BC the trees are way too tight, which is the only reason I sometimes regret the DCLB (as well as the ridiculous break over angle...) That, and I would make the tray slightly shorter. As close to the end of the frame rails as possible.

Yes. Roof rack will likely be T slot extrusion construction so individuals can be creative on their mounting. Bedsides and tailgate will be included for flatbed mode

Height is getting changed, it will be within .5-1in of the top of the prinsu rack. That should be enough to eliminate any possibility of something overhanging the canopy to contact the prinsu with frame flex. Originally I built it high enough to have a tent overhang the cab and have enough room underneath of it for your rotopax/box/traction ramps, but its a little higher than I imagined so its getting cut down

Yeah this one is going west, He is on here but not a very active user. When @G.T. is ready im sure he will be letting people know

Nice! That's great. Yeah, with a RTT on top as well, it will be quite high, but not sure what else could be done for a sleeping arrangement besides ground tent. I guess it would only be slightly taller than on top of a canopy.

Or obviously your new concept is the perfect solution ;)

Didn’t really want to go out in the cold but I needed to throw the canopy on for tomorrow, I got some leg extensions for the jacks so that’s good. Might throw some casters on some plates so I can just drop the canopy and roll it where it needs to sit rather than needing the truck to move it around. Of course the wife leaves it under empty so I had to snap a photo while filling it up, Love how it looks with just the flatbed

Yeah it has a bit of rake but doesn’t help that I keep the front lower than most, my tire is nearly flush with the top of the bumper and CVs around stock angle.

That would be pretty sweet, I wanted to head straight out from when I got home but the wife had other ideas since I was gone for a bit. If you set something up keep me in the loop

Late night last night messing around, thanks to @MO Tacoma I was able to do a test fit on his truck to double check some filler neck clearance, also installed another set of tail lights and sure enough the brake and running lights run on the same leds so at night you can’t tell if I am braking or not :bananadead: so I had to wire up my extra light for a brake light to get myself home. Ordered another pair of tails, Might try to modify what I currently have afterwards or keep looking for something that I like

Grabbed some pictures without the boxes or flares. Also Finally looked at the clearance on the tray under full bump, tire 1in from tray the bump has 2in left which is all good since it was all designed for a 35in tire.

Got some stuff done this weekend. I got replacement lights of my first ones because they were 24v, well this set didn’t have separate leds for brake/driving lights so at night you couldn’t tell if I was braking or not. So I got new lights, I tried running everything off the one but when the brake was applied with the turn signal it canceled the turn signal so grabbed another set of lights dedicated to the brakes.

Another thing I got around to this weekend was my extension legs for the lift off jacks. The jacks we’re too short for my tire/lift combo so I needed extensions. So I met up with @MO Tacoma and we welded up some feet for the extensions. Another issue I had is when I parked the canopy in my storage unit it was too tall and a kind of a pain in the ass to get it just right so I bought some casters so I could lift off the canopy wherever and just push it wherever I need to instead of having to use the truck to move it. Ran out of daylight so I didn’t get a chance to get it off the truck and see how it does rolling around but tomorrow I can take care of it.

I will be getting a cap from the same company. Was going to do a drawer system but since the truck still needs to be used as a truck and the cap won’t be as versatile as the one you designed with the easy on and off I will be using some Plano cases from Walmart. Cheap, light, and I can secure them and still be able to open them. With the width I have gained I can store a few of those boxes no issues hopefully.

I still have to buy the cap but regear and lockers first.
