However, note how things like air-conditioning, intermittent wipers, and an AM/FM radio are extra-cost options even on the Tahoe...

I like a good New Venture tranny, but I'd want a Jericho clutchless for a big block vehicle, or a built TH400.

Back when my best friend Dave drove for Werner, he gave me a ride in his rig, and he took these pictures...

Nice! My roommates dad drives a Volvo with a Cummins and he gave us ride every once in a while. Taught us how to float gears and match so we could drive unsynched transmissions too.

LOL I didn't know how to drive a stick shift back then (I got my license in May 2011, the photos were taken in January 2013, and I learned to drive stick in August 2014)!

I think I learned how to drive stick around 2012. But I had ridden motorcycles before that so I understood the function of the clutch and such beforehand.

Ha ha true!! My Dad had an '87 Blazer 4x4 with the 2.8L V6, and while super reliable, it was SOOOOO slow. Makes my 2.7 L truck feel like a sports car in comparison.

That said, my first two cars in my teens were the '85 and '87 Celebrity with slightly different variants of that same engine and they were unbelievable reliable. I always liked the poppy/throaty sound of the exhaust and they had some pickup in those lighter A-body styles.

    Edit:. My Dad later owned a '92 S-10, '99 Blazer, and a 2000 Jimmy all with the 4.3L. I've also owned a 2001 Blazer ZR2 2-door 4x4 with the 4.3L.
