LC got new brakes, truck is getting motor mounts, turbo, and steering wheel. LT is waiting on me to get weight measurements.

 

With all your time off work you should be waiting on people. lol.

 

Cant find a vehicle scale that weighs individual corners, and the damn things are a few grand to buy so that's out of the question. I still have house work haha, but certainly not a huge amount of it.

 

Why do you need the weight? For coilovers? Dual rate? You sure you gonna be able to fit the shock towers with a snail right by the coil bucket? I'd do some very careful measuring of that be ordering the xlt kit or the turbo and figure out what part you want more

 

Still waiting on brake lines from Wheelers.

They do but it doesn't matter. Had it shipped to work, not the house.

I always do it that way. UPS will leave stuff on the front porch when I'm not there. I hate that. At work, some body receives the package,even if I'm not there. But not on the weekends.

 

Umm, I mean, that's nice but I pretty sure I win this one these days...

 

ahhh gotcha. I could ship to work on the weekends. Guards are always on duty haha

Had my bumper shipped there. Saved like 80 bucks or something.

Unfair advantage...

 

I said screw it to the XLT kit, too much width, I cant make it fit for a lot of activities. Stock coil buckets will be retained with the solo XL kit and I am going to have some custom ADS coilovers whipped up for it. But it was suggested to me that I get weight measurements because LT 4cyl isn't particularly common, and I was very specific about wanting a soft ride for the first couple inches of travel.

Sooo...why? I don't get it? Solo's kit is a standard LT kit so why do you need custom ADS shocks? Their 8'' coilover won't fit like mine? I mean i get they probably want the weight for valving and spring rate...or is that what you mean by custom?

I keep eyeing and wondering if I could live with it..but idk if i could.

 

I just meant custom for the valving and spring rate, same style coils though and likely the same length since travel nums are so similar. The width is a killer, the standard lt kits already put us at 2nd gen width and that is pushing it as it is.

 

yeah, but its not the same. Like i don't care if my tires are poking out. Big whoop. They either get rubbed(don't care) or drive over most shit in the way. That said...trees and narrow canyons are a problem with the XLT kit as you are in full size truck widths there.

Still. The Solo kit will be nice. I think i'll just go with the spindles and do the steering/lbj upgrade...just sad as that will cost as much as a new kit almost haha

 

Why don’t you weigh the front and back and divide by 2. I doubt it’s that much of a different side to side.
