Make it on level lifting. Not enough of those this week.

Or if in a classic mood, hit us up on OCIs, brand and type. Be sure to tell us why you short change and how it makes you feel good too. Especially if you use boutique products.

I was thinking maybe a thread about a guy who used an aftermarket air filter and warranty denied...

I like the one with the sand in the fuel system better.

Or the recent one with 2nd blown trans due to snow pack.

Or even the one with the tach that shows what gear he's in.

All very legendary. Hope @tcBob is making a collection for a future book on things like this. Jay Leno would likely read excerpts on his show.

I put on the not legal in California k and n and it definitely felt quicker tires were lighting up ,but it was so loud I couldn't handle it.
Then I put in the trd one not quite as much performance increase but legal and not obnoxiously loud ,sounds good though, it definitely helps it breathe and makes it more responsive. It may not give a higher peak hp number but I swear the truck performs better.I totally recommend the trd cai and filter. Plus it's legal and won't hurt your warranty

Pretty sure the guy who got dust in his engine (ruined it) and Toyota denied warranty would disagree. Those filters do not filter as well as stock. Toyota is well within their rights to deny warranty if you use an aftermarket intake. And they will.

At the end of the day, it's not worth it. These motors make close to their peak hp as you're ever RELIABLY guna get. Don't fuck w it. Leave it stock and get 400k out of the motor. In the best case scenario how much would 10hp really benefit you? It won't. Don't fuck w it.

If you want to do it, stick with TRD until warranty expires

Snake oil..... up there with fuel additives to clean the engine, tonneau covers for increased gas mileage, and premium unleaded gas.

Ok, let's make something clear here.

K&N filters should NEVER be used in any modern vehicle, period. If your car has a MAF, which would mean a car built after 1996, then do not put some shitty oil filter in your intake. The oil on the filter will get sucked into your intake, cover the MAF sensor, and your car will start to pull timing and run like shit.

If anyone tells you that they noticed that their car made more power or got better gas mileage after installing, then they need to fuck off.

I do use the K&N cabin air filter. Easy to clean and will last forever.
NO, you do not oil it.
