Ls engines are good. And there easy and cheap to swap is y there so popular. The gm trucks dont have ls engines. The 5.3 is a lm and the 6.0 is a lq (i believe).

 

This shit had me rolling..

30k in debt on 1 vehicle with 5k worth of accessories on a pacrac

Some of the difference is block or head casting not being aluminum. The engines design themself is nearly identical. Just weight difference.

If the engine code starts with L, it's based off of the same design. Like some corvettes had an LT1, yet you wouldn't say it's not an LS based engine.

Also GM transmissions are so easy to get a standalone computer for that autos can be used off-road.
