Ha yeah my BIL twisted his ankle on a wet rock about 200yds in, last wet ride. I'm fine skipping until next time. Zilker starts charging for entry next month so I will probably move it to this spot just down the road: https://www.google.com/maps/@30.2703548,-97.7703481,355m/data=!3m1!1e3

Plenty of space and no fee. We can still ride over to the Greenbelt from there as well.

The 5100s aren't compatible with the 886 at all, hence why they're up for sale. According to Headstrong, the 90021s work well, just a softer ride on pavement. Since I don't have a winch yet and do mostly pavement, they seemed like a better option. If I get a winch down the road and they prove too soft I'll swap them out then.

    What suspension are you running?
I think I've narrowed it down to getting OME881s and possibly some Dakars for the rear. 1st gens are notorious for shitty leaf springs but mine are so bad they curve the wrong way even when the bed is empty.

We run OME Nitrocharger Sports w/883s to hold the weight of the bumper, winch & hilift. We started with 881s but they didn't have the spring strength we needed when we upgraded the front end. In the rear, we run Dakars +aal and Firestone Ride Rite bags paired with Daystar Cradles on the axle to allow flex and not tear the bags. Took off the sway bar too, so there's tons of articulation.

Sounds like a phenomenal setup, only problem is that I have a 4banger single cab so options are very slim and the bumper that I've been eyeing is only like 60lbs.

Think I only caught half of the conversation on this. I was just trying to throw some first hand knowledge out there concerning the 2886 coils.

Thanks, you don't have to worry too much about weight with that setup- I'm sure it's super nimble! Ours drives like a :turtleride: So heavy. I do have to say though, with our camper the leafs were not enough. Here's a side angle after we installed the airbags. Finally got the rake back!
