    05 toyota tacoma 4x4 v6 access cab
    from low to right before high on control knob for air/heat it won’t blow turn to high and it will blow what’s the peice called under glovebox for that controls that can tap it and it will blow for a sec then quit again there’s a cone shape peice under glove box I can tap and it blow again

    The thermostat is inbetween the radiator and the engine. Its job is to block the flow of coolant to the radiator until the engine has warmed up.

    If there’s an issue with the thermostat usually it’ll be stuck closer and the truck will overheat.

    They are supposed to fail in the open position so they DONT overheat

    Hey Tony you are going to need to replace the resistor part number 8713804052 list price $36.43 and the pigtail to the resistor part number 82141-04M40 list price $19.45 I keep those in stock as most dealers should( the new resistor has been redesigned to remedy this problem)

    Great info, but a slight problem.

    But we don't know who 'you' are and what dealership you are representing or where you are located. Sometimes picking stuff up is more practical than having things shipped, so that can be important.

    Have you contacted @tcBob regarding being a sponsor of this great forum? We can always use more responsive vendors.
