I'm about to take delivery on a Rebel. This will be the second Rebel top I've owned.

Is it possible to order the nicer looking logo, with the raised SnugTop lettering that the more expensive models have?

Also, is it possible to install the Prolock with remote after the fact? I didn't have the funds for it when I ordered the cap, but I'm wishing I had ordered it.

    Thanks.

I'm sure you should be able to order the pro lock with remote after the fact. Just ask your snugtop dealer and they should be able to order it and install it for you. I think the newer rebels come with the raised logo.

Were you happy with them? How was the install? Any issues with it? Which model did you go?

I’m pretty pleased with the service and install. It took them about an hour to install and wire it. I got the GB Sport with fold down slider and pro lock with keyless remote. No issues so far.

Thanks very much. I noted that one had a ton of pics of it on Tacos, even one that matched my colour, but I don’t think it has the sportsman upgrade available for a RTT. Hmmm.

Do you know the particulars of how they wired it?

I did not watch them do the wiring. I know that my remote lock was wired to drivers side front door so keyless entry and smart key work with it. Third brake light wired to drivers side brake light. Also, canopy will come with 2 USB ports wired for it, and quick connect if you ever decide to remove it.

Gotcha. I’ve seen some jenky wiring jobs out there so wondering If I should just wire it myself.

Just trying to find the right ship to deal with and nail down the model.

Would you say they matched the colour well?

They're a little far from you but I've purchased several canopies through Meili's Truck Tops in Spokane. meilitrucktops.com

SnugTop matched the color of my truck perfectly. They take the paint color code from your truck when you place your order.

I also bought my SnugTop from Superhawk a few years ago and couldn't be anymore happy with them. Great guys and great service. I shopped around the Puget Sound area for Snugtops and they had the best price, plus my FIL bought one from they a few years back and told me that's where I need to go. They were super helpful with me picking out models and options. They did a great job with the install and wiring. Over this past summer, I removed the canopy with a lift I build in my garage and stored on my garage ceiling over the summer. Come this fall I put the canopy back on, and found it had a couple very small leaks. I'd owned the canopy for +3 years, so I figured any warranty would be expired. I called them anyway, and the owner said bring it in. When I brought it to them, the owner himself spent a good 30-45 minutes going over the entire canopy and re-applying sealant around the whole canopy. Not only did he fix the 2 very minor leaks, but he also made sure everything was sealed up great. Canopy has been bone dry now. Best part of the experience: when he was finished, I asked what I owned him, and he said "Absolutely nothing. We like to take care of our customers." I was blown away. So incredibly happy with the service. Because he didn't charge me, I took the time to leave a very positive Yelp and Google review for the company. You can't go wrong with ordering through SuperHawk.

Hey I posted above about my great experience with SuperHawk, but I'm able to answer your question too. First the color match for MGM was spot on.
In regards on how they wired the canopy, they ran a fused 12v wire directly from the battery to the back of the truck, tucked away underneath the truck. Once in the back, they popped up through the bed and came out right under the rear top left of the bed, kind of under the top plastic part of the bed that you can step on. Don't really know how to describe it, but I can take a pic if you don't know where I'm talking about. From where they popped out there are 2 molex connectors, one for the brake light and one for the overhead LED light they mounted in. Good connectors and clean wiring job.

I bought mine at the same place Wall-E did, and it's been a few years, but I remember paying around $1300 for mine. I also added a few options to mine as well.

Kilo01 that Snugtop GB Sport fully loaded set me back around $3200.00. Not cheap.

@wall-e Any updates on your canopy? Getting close to pulling the trigger on one here and still can't decide.

I have no complaints. Everything does what it is supposed to do. Fit and finish is great, typical SnugTop. I really like the electronic pro lock, which makes locking and unlocking the canopy convenient. I plan on getting the Yakima rack cross bars soon, but decided to upgrade my stereo system first.

Thanks. Any leaks develop at all? Any complaints about the latches or anything?

I'm torn between the GB, and the Rebel. Rebel looks a little more plain and has windoors but the sportmans package on the GB is great along with some other great features. Are you missing windoors at all?

Mind telling me a little about how you actually use the canopy?

    Thanks again.

The only places were I am getting a little water is the corners of the tailgate area and the drain holes along the bottom of the bed. The latches are high quality and the shell feels well built. This is my third snugtop shell. I've had snugtop supersport canopies on my previous two tundras that I used to own. Never had a windoor canopy, but I hear that they are nice for getting stuff from the side. I use my canopy, mainly to keep stuff dry and out of the elements, and to transport my two dogs. I did not get the sportmans pakage on this one. It's really not needed unless you plan on putting over 400 lbs of stuff on your roof and its only a five foot bed. I really like the look of the GB sport. Make sure to get the fold down front window, as it makes it easy to clean the rear glass, you just flip the window down. Also, the windows are tinted pretty dark so people cant see what you got back there that easily.
