Black roofs ? Post pics

Sold, I’m absolutely doing this, looks great!

 

I want to do the hood and roof of my Quicksand AC. Anyone tried plastidip? Seems like it would be a lot easier to DIY.

 

I am sure it would be easier, but likely wont look as good especially if spraying out of a can. to each their own though

 

Yea, I was thinking of getting the gallon kit and the sprayer. Too much surface area for the can to come out good.

 

I would have concidered a black or other dark roof if I lived in cooler places, but not here in the desert.

 

That's what A/C is for. Form over function.

Fact: people get better gas mileage with white and lighter colored cars vs darker cars in hot climates.

I'm not arguing with you. But, everyone knows flat black is the fastest color and gives you the best gas mileage regardless of the climate.

Kidding. I am just addicted to modifying everything I own and I love painting nice things flat black.

 

I like it too- but can’t for the issue of camping in summer here. I really tried it once and fried an egg on my friend’s heavy black bumper

That’s def a great idea. I like that a lot. Gonna prob talk to the vinyl shop next week and at least get some prices and show them a few ideas.
