Well after reading through this entire thread, I feel for the people who were ripped off. The reason I was reading this thread, I saw the name Core while scanning the classifieds. Also seeing the name in a recent Kijiji ad, I read on.
Well in November my truck was stolen from in front of my house while we were out for dinner. We live in s small town north of Georgetown Ontario. The truck was for sale on Kijiji and after weeding through all the loonies, I had an offer from a guy to trade an 07 fj . He sent me his number. I declined. 3 days later the old girl was gone. Some of the background in this thread is a little coincidental. It’s a self built rig. Insurance doesn’t cover much more than the truck itself, unless you have an appraisal. Here’s a pic
    Thanks for your time.08F8F707-52E9-4181-8DC4-C401791D6A0D.jpg9CD0FC07-DD70-440D-A6B4-4BA7EF4CB424.jpg

Damn, what a shame as that's a really clean truck.

After having read this thread over it's development.. it's a damn shame.

Trusts destroyed, people out of money, Community perhaps fractured as a result.

It is a Ponzi scheme, through and through. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.

It's sad that a potentially promising start-up has to train-wreck like this.

In retrospect, it certainly makes me glad that i went through established brick and mortar like 4WP more locally - or ordered original at additional expense south of the border. Hate the additional costs involved, but sure beats getting nothing at all.

There are scammers everywhere, however - my truck has a component on it, in which i appeared to catch a similarly operating USA 'overland' start-up on the brief up-swing, of a long slow decline.. and that was only a couple hundred dollars involved had i had been burned, and a lot less time than a year of waiting.. others got burned at a later time, as the Ponzi collapsed and all confidence was lost/legal threats started flowing.

    Check out CT Motorsports too.

Ski has beat pretty much all prices at 4wp for me. And even when he doesn't he's usually same price if not $2-$4 more. And truthfully I'd rather support a small shop than a big company like 4wp where you're appreciated as a customer vs 4wp where you're usually aren't.

Man, I just read this whole thread. Such a bummer that so many people are having all of these issues.

When my wife and I first started our small "overland" business, Nathan from cowc contacted us and welcomed us to the community, have is a couple connections to distributors, and seemed like a great guy .I had never heard of core before then, and had no idea this was how he ran his business... I hope it's all one big misunderstanding, and everybody is refunded.

Like it had been mentioned, it's hard enough starting a new business, that when another shop breaks the trust of so many, it hurts all of the young local businesses. In this case we're on the other side of the country, but it still is felt here .

I'm sorry to all those who have had issues, and hope that you will still be willing to support local in the future.

You also should've noticed we all would love to support local which is why we go to CT Motorsport.

Nathan has had many opportunities and time to explain what's going on but he just dodges it and lies.

I don't think there's much to misunderstand at this point the guys just a major piece of shit scam artist

I did notice that, and it's very cool. I agree that things are way past the point of chalking it up to miscommunication, and that legal action is probably the only logical course going forward. It's just unfortunate is all

Hey there, I am from the Jeeping world and had heard that this was happening to some folks in the market for RTTs. I'm a small retailer from Central Ontario who has tents in stock right now.
Not looking to start any conflicts, or post for-sale, but if people are left hanging without product I have them available and in-person.

I think thats just smart business. Plus if you have them in stock and its a cash in hand product in the other kinda deal, I think a lot of people would be interested.

Alas, I'm one of those guys that got caught in the web. I had thought the "company" had been around for a couple of years, so I placed an order for a roof rack for my truck end of July. I got strung along for months, and requested a refund at the beginning of Nov. Since I didn't use my credit card nor PayPal, I'm in limbo waiting for a refund that may never appear. Anyone form a group to bring this to small claims court to somehow recoup some of the costs? I'm located in BC.

The interesting thing is that he builds the roof racks. You figure the profits he would make he could pay people back.

I don’t know of any groups but good luck man. Was in your shoes.

Try through Facebook. He has been posting a new project on there. Hopefully he doesn’t loose that and screw those people.

    good luck dude.

Flood his facebook and instagram maybe he'll give you it back. I got better results going directly to him and not wasting time with his 'company' page.
