    Lol

I got the factory skid plate on it now, and it's taken a few dents so I should be fine then...

I'm thinking of giving it a lineX coating to make it little more scratch obvious

Sounds like a trail trip should be planned and we can try it out

yeah that would be sweet, I would like to do the south arm again since I will be lifted and skid plates haha but this time I think we will split it up into 2 days, took us like 10 hours in one day, but there is a nice camp spot half way right by some lakes which would be a good spot to camp. 5 hours one day then finish up the next.

P(B)ro fog lights are going to be done first! Other than that, can't think much of anything else , it's already 1" lifted more than 2nd gen, so it's the same height as my current truck with 5100s.
While I would like to get FOX 2.0 lift, for additional 1" of lift, it's not something urgent. Plus this summer wheeling I think will be less rocky terrain, more just remote areas, except for Ardbeg and Minden, but again stock skids are enough for those trails if picking right lines and not launching it haha.

Just spray paint it, it'll do fine, don't waste on lineX.

I will be in a "baby truck" stage for at least 6 months, so you won't see me launching it too hard :bikewhoops:. Manual transmission should also slow me down a bit on trails now haha.

I just like the idea of not having to continuously spray it each time I scrape it...line x seems pretty durable for scuffs

I my opinion it wont hold up well being dragged on rocks, that why I ordered my skids bare so I can just rattle can them, before the winter just take it off and spray again. easier to maintain

For steel skids you need a lift (coils, shocks, UCAs if above 2.5"), had skids on a stock suspension and shocks were sagging badly at front which resulted at constant dragging of skids over the rocks on the trails. After a bit of a lift, no more dragging and haven't touched rocks unless I did something stupid:anonymous:

So unless he does a lift to level after the weight he adds, I would suggest going against skids.

Yah factory trd skid plate doesn't seem heavy enough to drag front end down, but I could see it if adding a bunch of armour

@taczilla Sorry for your loss...that was a nice rig. Sorry about the RAM too...just kidding! My nephew drives a ram...we give each other the gears all the time.

I do have some plans for the Tacoma, but it is my daily driver, and already 7 years old, so I can't let myself get too carried away (or take too much money away from the Mustang).
I have some of the 17X7 TRD wheels and a "taco lean" 1/4" spacer on the way, and need to decide on some A/T tires...I typically go Bridgestone, but have heard some not so good things on them. The Wildpeak A/T3W looks nice, but I have no experience with Falken tires. Any opinions?

The truck has new springs from Toyota on the rear, and a bit of a rake. I am considering the 5100s and the 1/4" spacer on stock springs to level it out. Not sure on settings yet...got more reading to do.

Has anyone here used the LCE header on a 2.7?

Went in for oil change and vibration check from front passenger wheel. Wheel bearing is gone. Had it changed almost year ago so he said he will replace under warranty. :bananadance:
It all started after snow run

Is there any kind of "training wheels" trail in Ontario where you could take a stock SR5 4x4 and not destroy it but also not so easy that a Camry could do it?
