I noticed they were on that experticity website for 30% off. I was looking at the grand Teton package. I plan on going up to the mountains this summer and wanted to do some fishing without buying expensive fly fishing stuff.

I have one of their set-ups, the Teton package, purchased off of a Massdrop.com group buy. So far I have no issues with the rod. Super lightweight and easy to take on a hike.

Might push 50 degrees here Sunday...thinking of scratching that "I need to wet a line" itch even though water temps are really cold.

I’m having the same thoughts. Took a hike last weekend with jr. by a local creek. Guys were fishing, I was jealous. They were catching them on size 24-26 zebra midge nymphs.

    I was thinking of breaking in that 10' 3wt Grey's euro-nymphing rod with a 2 nymph rig.

Especially if you're using size 24-26 nymphs.

I’ll stick with no smaller than 22. Just can’t see the eye to tie it in any more past that.

Afraid to lose my good trifocals, so I broke down last year and bought a pair of 'cheaters' for tying on flies streamside.

I actually have a fly box that has 3 or 4 pieces (similar to a bobbin threader) to 'pre-load' 3 or more flies through the eye. You then thread the tippet thru the wire loop and pull the fly off the wire loop and continue tying it on. May not be the best description and sorry, but I don't know how to do attachments other than my own pics. C & F Designs as a minimum make these boxes.

I need a line helper like that, especially late in the day when the light is low and I'm tired and should just get off the water but can't resist the urge to make one more cast with a different bug!
Post the results when you get a chance to use that line threader.
