Nice. Yeah I applied at TG too, can't beat an 8 minute commute to work!

Oh I'm sure, it's errily similar to the mob (myself being Italian) it seems like once you've been in and are an "A man" then that's like the mob's version of a "made man"

I'm gonna go watch the Godfather or Goodfellas now........ just kidding I'm still gonna troll TW since I'm at work. SECURITY LIFE!!

That Boaters Ed online class is fucking laaaaaame. There's no way around it either. Worth doing once to never have to do it again and legally be able to drive a boat.

Have you watched the hbo series the wire? I think season 2or 3 was dealing with longshoreman and drug trafficking.

@JimSnell What cover did you have on your Hi-Lift? I've found a couple (one brand and one aftermarket). Reviews on both were not the greatest due to sun damage.

Looks like I might make it to Plain this June! Just need to get my camp setup finalized.

Nice! The exam or the written for the PST?
Just noticed you're from Shoreline (NICE! I grew up there and still visit my parents sometimes) seeing you'd have to move

Nice man I wen't to WSU like 5 years ago but still love Pullman.
Ah gotcha, I did the CPAT but not the written before I called it quits on going that route, whoops
Good luck, there's a ton of departments on the PST, especially if you get your EMT-B or even a FF Cert

I've previously done the entire process with Columbia county and then didn't get the job... so. much. effort.

Eh yeah, but then at least you know what to expect with the next test sections and the board so you'll be that much more qualified

I have a buddy that’s a new longshoreman out of Aberdeen and another friend’s dad has been one since ever since.

Tomorrow will be the first day my friend has worked all year. He said the hours race is STUPID at the beginning of the year, but after February hours pick up and money starts rolling in.

The dad works almost every day. He travels from Aberdeen to Tacoma to Seattle to wherever the work is. He’s in a supervisors role of some sort... makes stupid money.

Stupid as in everyone is trying to get hours and there isn't a lot of work available, or what?
Yeah, I've heard like March-May time frame when the cruise ships start coming in is when work gets good and is abundant.

Damn does he go down to the casual hall every day, and this is the first time he's picked up work?

Hah I remember EWHS, when we played you guys in baseball I got TRUCKED as a catcher in a home plate collision, but held onto the ball... 1 concussion later an out's an out.

Yeah man good times, whenever I come back up there it blows me away how much things have changed and it's only been like 5 years!

Lol tell me about it. I'm class of '02...First class to start when the new school opened up in 1998. Edmonds is night and day from when I used to hang out there all the time. Shorewood was pretty ghetto back in the day too and now it looks all nice.

Yeah you're a lot farther back, but I was class of '09 so I was there when it was mostly outside and "ghetto" or really just didn't make any f@#$!%& sense... who builds a school designed for Southern California in Seattle, Washington
