Anyone else feel the Toyota 86 is quite overpriced? I just realized you can get a new V6 Camaro with more features for less...

Sure the 86 handles better, but it uses lower quality materials, less materials, and has development costs split between two manufacturers.

I’m kinda considering picking up a used Alpha platform ‘maro with a 6 speed and a V6 if I like how it drives. Or maybe even that new I4

Personally I would look at the 370z seems like a better engine platform if you wanna go balls out later on

 

Found one that I had sent a cousin when I was first looking at it.

 

Toyota will never be at the top for anything in my mind again. They're way behind in tech, and luxury. Though I don't care that much about luxury they're still behind. NoNot much power being put down that could make the 86 and trucks faster and more desirable. They're just riding on their name at this point.

 

I'm dying for an e90 m3.. soon.. soon..

 

Meh thought about one but the power of the f80 is just so much more and it's lighter

 

I'm honestly disappointed was disappointed in the v8 m3s power. So that's where ESS tuning will need to come in.

 

Or vf supercharger

 

I want to go with one of the 650 superchargers, probably ESS since it's a tad bit cheaper

I drove a friends stick e92 m3 and was a little disappointed for how good that v8 sounded.. but don’t get me wrong, it was still fun as hell.

Another friends cammed/tunned/etc stick Camaro 1LE on drag radials was FUN. Puts down over 500hp to the wheels, and was just stupid fun doing pulls with.

But the funnest overall car I’ve been in (not driven...yet...) was a friends M2 with some bolt-ons and a tune.
GREAT handling and good power for the weight.

 

I'm still undecided on that. I feel a stock or lightly modded m3 would be a definite manual trans. But a 650hp m3 might be paired better with a DCT.. for me at least

 

Not in the e90 though heard it's just not that good

 

Yeah it's sad that just a tune on my m3 will make more gains than all the bolt ons and supercharger on my taco
