The cab rack is the same and only a few minor tweaks to the base rail for the second gen. 2nd gen base rails should be in stock mid January.

How's the wind noise for the cabrac?

It looks like a great alternative to prinsu and front runner.

 

No noise with the solid fairing and very little with the light bar fairing

 

Does it use t slots? How would I mount a cargo box?

 

No, while the t-slots have thier uses I personally have never been a fan of them for roof racks, they are heavy, noisy and you loose the ability to through bolt items without building a custom bracket or drilling.
I ultimately ended up going with a formed c channel 4" wide aluminum load bar with slotted holes for mounting accessories. I include 6 nut plates that can be inserted to the underside of the load bar, these allow the convience of the t-slot but are lighter, stronger, quiet and retain the ability to though bolt accessories. This eliminates the need for special brackets just to mount simple
items like rotopax or maxtrax.
What type of box are you wanting to mount?

 

Just got word from my machine shop that the custom lift off hinges for the doors are almost ready!

 

Love some good machining. Looks like they still need to be flipped and another op.

I'm thinking about getting an alu-cab canopy, will the racks lineup from canopy to cab?

 

I do plan to make a hard canopy cab rack that would likely work well.
It will be height adjustable so it could be aligned with the cab rack
