Haha...sounds like you and I are doing similar research! I was set on going simple with the Michelin A/T 2 tire but now come full circle and reconsidering the KO2 or Duratac, all sizes in 265/70/17. The main difference now is that the TEs will be going on a 2015 Lexus GX460 instead of a Tacoma.

Yeah I’m thinking I’m pretty set but i said that about the Ko2’s i wanted back in December. Aww the Taco doesn’t get the love. Hopefully down the road maybe. Yeah i though about those tires at one point too. I also thought about the back country A/t’s as well from Les Schwab they look beefy and they get a great warranty behind em.

I haven’t bought a Taco yet. I had/have good intentions on buying one, which is the reason why I bought these wheels (and also they work on the GX). I’m still indecisive on an OR or PRO at the moment but don’t want to play the dealership game at the moment. I’m perfectly fine with my GX and 2012 Lexus ISF which are both V8s anyways so the Taco isn’t a priority at the moment. Between the GX and a 1990 Ford Ranger we have, they take care of my hauling needs so buying a new Taco has slipped in priorities at the moment.

    First updates from Japan!!!

    1) Testing is done. Size has been confirmed at 17x8.5 -10 6x139 full forged.

    2) Minor change, the TE37 Large PCD style has been chosen over the TE37SB style for this specific size as it tested higher on the JWL (Japan Light Alloy Wheel Standard) for the size chosen. What this means is the strongest possible wheel is being created in the specific size of 17x8.5 -10. Each TE37 has its own specs as far as spoke size, concave, barrel specs etc and through testing they found the te37 large pcd design tested much stronger than the sb design. Difference in look is pictured below.

    SB design -

    24131020_1760096824061000_57133014559258_1198645d0572bed5afbca07d72bb31e4f9c6dd85.jpg

    Large PCD design

Main difference is the engraved line on the lip.

    3) Pricing will be locked in by next week for future orders. (This is for those who dont have an existing order in the first 25)

    4) The color options remain the same.

    5) Testing took a bit more time than expected but all the data acquired from it proved extremely beneficial will in turn release the ultimate product that we could offer. This goes into immediate production now, we are expecting our initial early march timeline to be delayed a bit but we will keep you updated as they build. We should have a picture of the first actual wheels to be produced in the following weeks.

Almost there guys Im as excited as you all are! Thanks for being patient and we will release more news as it comes (another update due next week).

Even better. I’d rather take the OG Design over the SB anyways as long as the Volk Racing on the spoke is engraved as well instead of decals...lol!

So damn tempting but I know I am going to hang myself if I curbed these... Or magically rub against a rock on my recent trips.
