So I blew out my tire back in October and have been rolling on my spare ever since then. This is only until tomorrow when I am finally putting on my new 33" Cooper ST Maxx tires. In preparation for this, I had to smash my spare tire tabs down with a sledge hammer. While pulling myself back out from under the truck, something tucked away in the bumper caught my eye:

It was a plastic housing with a magnet and secured down with a strip of duct tape. My first though was "shit, is this a GPS tracker? What did I do? Who did I piss off?" I yanked it off for a closer examination.

It was actually some sort of compartment. I opened it up and found this:

It's a key for my truck! I bought my truck as a CPO and it only came with one key. I found the old registration in the glovebox after I bought it and googled the guy's name and city and it pulled up his obituary. Looks like the poor guy passed away and his family traded in the truck not knowing the spare key was hiding under the bumper. I never got the second key fob, but I got a generic one off Amazon awhile back and programmed it myself.

Anyways, just thought it was interesting. I was hoping for something more exciting, but I'll settle for a free factory key!

What’s more creepy is you have a dead guy’s Tacoma. His ghost is most likely haunting your truck. Maybe you should check if the dude died while in the truck.

Please report to us any supernatural incidences: like noises or clunks or squeaks coming from the truck, parts not working as they should be, or if your gas mileage isn’t consistent as those are all signs of ghostly activities.

What if he died from anthrax poisoning on his spare key?
