That’s Awesome! Nothing better than steady employment with a umbrella of Health Benefits in a nice complex, and your the lead guy for a Trade your qualifyed for and possess the proper licenses. Weigh out the pros and cons, and I know you will make the best decision for you and your family. I have saying that in life you have to make your own Conditions.
    Good Luck Kevin!!

    Morning all!

Good news on the job offer Kevin.

My Saturday should be quiet. Kid is going snow tubing, wife is getting her hair done. Just me and 'she who doesn't speak'

Thanks Jimi. Very well put. I chased the dollar for so long without benefits. Seems I can’t find both down here. It’s one or the other.

    I do, at times :D
I favored residential more than commercial because I got more appreciation from homeowners on a job well done. Commercial just wants you gone.

I took a pay cut when I got out of my other job. But... zero stress, same benefits and medical, vacation and no lost time, as it's all the same company. Plus no more callouts when drunks hit poles at 2 in the morning. The choice was an easy one as I am debt free. Stay at my old job and destroy my body or downshift a bit for less money and ride it out till retirement.
IF I still had a mortgage , I wouldn't have been able to do this move.

Good luck with whatever choice you make.

That's exactly what I want to do. I have several boxes that I'm trying to repair. Our first two machines are on an older generation that are no longer The new generation is $16k a pop plus cost of having the machine manufacturer come in to update the back server. And there are 16 boxes per machine.

I worked for Bosch automotive for twenty years. Mike has probably had his hands on many ECUs that we made. So glad to be out of automotive now.

    I resemble that remark...

    Thanks man.
Yea we’ll have to blaze out of here. Property values have skyrocketed and can’t afford to stay here any longer. We knew we would leave someday.
I’ll be on call for 1 week 3x in a 2 year period. And it’s just for the university.
